Jan. 1992 Hired by MBNA as a Customer Assistance Representative. Spent 8 hours a day wearing a headset and speaking extensively to delinquent cardholders. |
1993 Returned to MBNA, working in credit and community relations. Joined the Office of the Chairman/CEO,
managing company-wide projects and supporting senior management and Board of Directors. |
2001 Became Director of MBNA’s first Career Advisory Service, managing all aspects of the department and mentoring over 375 employees. |
2005 Named a Director of the MBNA Foundation, managing 400,000 employee volunteer hours and about $10 million in fundraising. |
| 1990 Joined the ranks of the country’s largest wholesale plumbing company. Worked in the warehouse, stocked parts and drove a truck as part of sales training. |
Aug. 1992 Suffered traumatic injury after only seven months on the job. Took just one year off. |

2000 Became a Senior Manager of MBNA’s Career Development and Diversity Division, developing company-wide programs and initiatives. |
2003 Advanced to Director of Education and Development, supervising the company’s leadership curriculum and overseeing 15 people and a $4 million budget. |
